ABOUT US
Leo Nicotera, CEP, RFC:
Leo was born in Utica, NY and raised in Old Forge. He started his professional investment career in 1993 and founded Nicotera Wealth Management in 1998. Leo brings with him over 30 years of industry experience and specializes in retirement planning and investment management.
In his free time, Leo enjoys RV travel with his wife Olivia, and their 2 dogs, Izzie and Ivy. The Florida Keys are a favorite destination for them. Leo has been scuba diving since 1989 with dives ranging from deep technical dives to searching for megalodon teeth off Venice, FL and exploring the numerous wrecks in the Keys. Leo is also an avid reader and Formula 1 fanatic.
Austin Deskewicz, FPQP:
Out of College with a finance degree, Austin started immediately working with Nicotera Wealth Management. Austin has obtained his SIE, Series 7, 63, and 65 licenses and then went on to achieve the FPQP designation.
Austin was born and raised in the Capital Region. He was recruited out of Ballston Spa High School to play Division 1 lacrosse at Stony Brook University. During his time at Stony Brook, Austin enjoyed a successful career on and off the field earning USILA Scholar All-American award and earned 2nd team All-Conference honors.
During his free time Austin enjoys staying active whether he is running, golfing or taking his dog Jaxx for walks with his fiancé Brooke. Austin’s favorite ways to chill out are laying out on a beach and exploring beach towns. Austin continues to be a part of the local lacrosse community through coaching. Austin is also an avid sports fan, he enjoys watching college football, Hockey, and especially Formula 1. Some of his favorite teams are the Texas Longhorns, all Pittsburgh teams, and his favorite F1 driver is Valtteri Bottas.
Brooke LaShomb:
Brooke has been with Nicotera Wealth Management since her time in college. She works on the administrative side as well as running the front desk.
Brooke was born and raised in the Capital Region were she attended Hudson Valley Community College. During her time at school she achieved multiple academic awards for her achievements in the classroom.
During her free time Brooke enjoys staying active whether it’s working out, going for runs, or taking Jaxx for walks. Brooke enjoys spending as much time out in the sun as she can. She loves going to the beach and kicking back with a good book in her hands. Brooke also has the F1 bug, and can be found next to Austin watching the races on any given Sunday. Her favorite driver is Lewis Hamilton.
Olivia Nicotera:
Olivia has lived all over the country, from Seattle to Ohio to New York, where she now resides. She joined Nicotera Wealth Management in 2020 after retiring from an outside sales position with a local firm where she had worked for over 20 years. Olivia handles all internal operations and bookkeeping for Nicotera Wealth Management.
Olivia enjoys traveling to warm states with Leo and their pups and is looking forward to a trip out west. She loves going for walks on the beach with Izzie and Ivy while staying active whether it’s kayaking, biking, hiking or working out. She also shares the family addiction for F1 racing and is a devout Lewis Hamilton fan.
Meet our furry little helpers!
Izzie:
Izzie is in charge of greetings and giving out the best woo-woo’s!! She is a total attention hound and loves to be snuggled and pet.
Ivy:
Ivy is in charge of permiter protection and can usually be found looking out of the windows on guard to protect us from any questionnable squirrels or bunnies.
Jaxx:
Jaxx is the newest member of the family. He enjoys playing with Izzie, Ivy, and getting into as much trouble as possible.
